As the 2023 Academy Awards ceremony approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the representation of Indian cinema and celebrities. Ranging from "The Elephant Whisperers" to SS Rajamouli's "RRR," Indian entries are set to compete against global cinema on the prestigious stage.

Ahead of the event, RRR actor Ram Charan expressed his desire to win an Oscar and how it would feel for him and India. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ram Charan shared his wish to see SS Rajamouli direct a Marvel film, expressing his enthusiasm for being a part of any movie where cinema is appreciated.

Regarding the possibility of Rajamouli directing a Marvel project, Ram Charan exclaimed, "Wow," and promised to throw a big party for the interviewer if it happened, adding that he "really wants to see it happen."

RRR is nominated for Best Original Song for "Naatu Naatu," and Ram Charan discussed the overwhelming feeling he would have if they won the Academy Award. He stated that it would be "emotional for all of us" and compared it to India winning an Olympic gold medal.

Ram Charan's father, veteran actor Chiranjeevi, is also sentimental about the Oscars, and the entire country is hoping for Indian cinema to achieve success on the world stage.
