Review: Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal Shine in the Thrilling Heist-Drama 'Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga'

In 'Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga', Ankit Sethi (Sunny Kaushal) meets Neha Grover (Yami Gautam) on a flight and their chance encounter leads to a romantic relationship. When Ankit reveals that he needs to pull off a heist to pay off a debt, Neha offers her support and they plan a mid-air heist. However, their plans are disrupted by a hijacking, and the duo must navigate the situation to execute their plan. The film revolves around their thrilling heist in a hijacked plane.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga boasts of a well-paced screenplay that keeps the audience engaged throughout its runtime of just over 100 minutes. The film has a tight grip on its narrative, and there isn't a single moment that feels unnecessary or dull.

The combination of a heist and hijack plot adds a unique flavor to the film's storyline, making it more thrilling and intriguing. The film's ability to play with the viewer's psyche is commendable and keeps the audience on their toes. Director Ajay Singh deserves appreciation for presenting this novel idea on the screen with utmost conviction.

The production values of the film are noteworthy, and the ambitious staging and design add to the overall cinematic experience.

However, some parts of the film suffer from convenient writing, particularly the mid-air sequences. The dialogues lack impact, and Yami Gautam's character's excessive use of the word 'sir' seems forced and unnatural.

Performances

Nevertheless, both Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal deliver sincere and convincing performances that effectively portray the emotions of their characters. Sharad Kelkar and Indraneil Sengupta are effortless in their roles, while the satirical character of the home minister and his wicked personal assistant are sure to tickle the audience's funny bone.

In conclusion, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is a well-crafted heist-drama that stays a step ahead of its viewers, making it a worthy watch.
