Taylor Swift's 15 Best Songs for Swifties

Taylor Swift is one of the most famous singer-songwriters of the early 21st century.  Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter, actress, record producer, video director, philanthropist, and businesswoman. Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, but moved to Nashville, Tennessee, when she was 14 to pursue a career in country music. The singer-songwriter who won a Grammy Award made a big splash in the country music scene in 2006. Since then, she has gone on to become one of the best acts in popular music.  Here's a list of the best Taylor Swift songs that her fans love all over the world.

1. Willow

Willow is the first single from Taylor's surprise album Evermore. It was made with indie-pop producer Aaron Dessner, who worked with her on her first surprise album of 2020, Folklore. Willow takes us deeper into the magical forest that folklore built, with a rollicking acoustic beat that reminds us of Lana Del Rey's hip-hop-influenced debut Born to Die.

2. Look What You Made Me Do

This fiery song was the first single from her cocky sixth album, Reputation, where she tried to burn everything down and start over. Look What You Made Me Do went straight to Number 1 in 2017 and stayed there for two weeks. This was helped by a music video that was full of inside jokes and references to her online presence and many celebrity fights.

3. Blank Space

Taylor's second single from her 1989 album, Blank Space, was self-aware and showed her taking charge of how people saw her. The song was written with Max Martin and Shellback, and it poked fun at the media's constant interest in her personal relationships. It was heavily influenced by Lorde's Pure Heroine's icy, minimalist production.

4. Style

Taylor, Max Martin, and Shellback worked together on the third single from 1989. It was an instant fan favorite and another unpredictable pop moment. Style takes a lot of inspiration from the post-disco movement and the music of dance groups like Daft Punk. At times, it sounds like the darker sister of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, which was also written and produced by Max Martin around the same time.

5. Love Story

Taylor Swift's campaign to reclaim control has elevated the concept of rerecording previous songs. She made a political and musical statement by rereleasing "Love Story (Taylor's Version)," her most renowned early success. It was country's top single and included many of the same artists as Fearless (Taylor's Version). Taylor's confident voice and mix make it fascinate.

6. Better Man

Taylor Swift's version of "Better Man" for the 2021 Red (Taylor's Version) album was part of her campaign to regain creative control over her previous work. It's a musical masterpiece that captures the original's bittersweetness. Red (Taylor's Version) has lively reimagining's and fascinating tracks from the original album idea.

7. Shake It Off

Taylor's first pure-pop anthem, 1989's lead song, was finished. Reuniting with Max Martin and Shellback, this lively statement of intent, clearly influenced by Toni Basil's Hey Mickey, has no guitar or rural twang.

8. Bad Blood ft. Kendrick Lamar

1989's eighth track and fourth hit, "Bad Blood," is Taylor's fifth album. One common belief is this song is about Katy Perry. "Bad Blood" won two MTV Video Music Awards and a Grammy for Best Music Video.

9. You Belong With Me

"You Belong With Me," the third single from Taylor Swift's second album Fearless, was another anthemic, pop-flavored country song that became her biggest US success when it reached at No.2.  Swift and Liz Rose wrote and produced the song alongside Nathan Chapman. The song is about a male who is too involved in a poisonous relationship to realize another girl likes him. Fearless is Taylor's sophomore album.

10. Wildest Dreams

1989's ninth track is Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams." It was written by Swift, Max Martin, and Shellback. Swift wants her boyfriend will remember their greatest times when they're finished. It shows conflicted emotions: wishing things last yet knowing they'll end. Lana Del Rey's influence is evident in this song.

11. The Man

This jagged, soaring pop tune with a synth-drenched chorus was a solid hit from 2019's Lover, which lightened Taylor's work following Reputation. Taylor directed her first MTV Video Music Awards video, "The Man," and became the first woman to win Best Direction.

12. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

Swift says in the song, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," that she doesn't want to keep seeing her boyfriend on and off. The first single from Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, Red, was this song. It was Swift's first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it was nominated for a Grammy Award for Record of the Year.

13. Lover

The title track from 2019's Lover is a stylized 60s Americana song with many remixes that don't improve on the original's casual air. Taylor says "Lover" came fast, and its waltz-like easy-come, easy-go appeal elevates it from an otherwise outstanding album (arguably her best and certainly her strongest pop record). "Lover" made numerous year-end lists for good reason.

14. Anti-Hero

Swift returned to pop with Midnights and its hit single, "Anti-Hero," after Folklore and Evermore. With her close collaborator Jack Antonoff, Anti-hero evolves from 1989's synth-pop gloss to reputation's self-deprecation and Folklore and Evermore's complex lyrics. A thick, irresistible earworm and self-aware anthem outcome.

15. Willow

"Willow" opens Evermore and was chosen as the lead single because of its gentle rhythm. "Willow" is one of those songs that stays with you and impressed radio programmers. Taylor's catchy melancholia has been acknowledged over Folklore and Evermore in the oddest of years. The epidemic has prevented listeners from experiencing these songs live, but Taylor's comeback to touring will be different.
